Housing for All TN is a coalition of on-the-ground organizations and partners focused on affordable housing, tenants' rights, and ending homelessness in Tennessee.
Our nonpartisan coalition is made up of nonprofits, tenants’ rights organizations, faith communities, and other groups who are committed to a vision of Tennessee where all people have access to safe and dignified housing.
We work towards systemic transformation by developing a shared housing justice platform in Tennessee, developing strategic statewide policy goals, and coordinating our local campaigns.
About us
Dignified housing: We believe that safe, affordable housing is the foundation of thriving communities in our state. Dignified housing should be a public good that is accessible to all.
Power-building: We believe that the path towards transformative change at a state level must be grounded in our local communities and the experiences of those on the front lines of the housing crisis.
Integrity: We work with integrity by aligning our values and actions, and being transparent and accountable to one another and our communities.
Solidarity: While we work toward systemic transformation, we foster relationships of mutuality and stand together with those who are most impacted by the housing crisis, including low-income tenants and people who are unhoused.
Equity: We recognize that racial inequities have been embedded into housing systems, and as a courageous, innovative, anti-racist coalition, we seek to reverse past discrimination by supporting the voices and experiences of those disparately impacted by structural racism with deliberate practices, policies, and programming that produce and sustain racially equitable outcomes.
Interconnection: Effective solutions to the housing crisis require a holistic approach to housing policy that advances the rights of the unhoused, expands tenant protections, and builds and preserves affordable housing for Tennessee residents.
